DINNER & CEILIDH

Thursday 19 June 2025 | 19:00 – Till Late | Citation Glasgow

Join us for this special event at Citation in Glasgow and get a real taste of Scottish culture.

Visit one of Glasgow’s most vibrant and historical venues, dating back to the 1800s, while wandering freely and networking with other conference delegates. Nestled within the grandeur of the Merchant City, the rich history of Citation contributes to its boastful vibrance and rusticity.

Join us for a traditional Scottish ceilidh. A Gaelic word for a casual party with music, dancing and entertainment, ceilidh (pronounced “kayley”) is the term commonly used to refer to Scottish country dancing.  Many of the steps, including the do-si-do and swing-your-partner moves are similar to those performed in American square dancing. It’s more about fun than getting the steps right, but there is always a “caller” with the band, who leads everyone through each dance.

This is a ticketed event and delegates can purchase one ticket plus one extra ticket if required.  Tickets are limited so please book early.

Questions about the evening:

  • Is food included in the ticket price? Yes, dinner will be provided. It is not a formal sit down event. Guests will be able to sit and stand whilst enjoying a buffet style meal.
  • Do I need a kilt? No, the evening is smart/casual. Kilts are always welcome but not necessary. Wear comfortable shoes though.
  • Do I have to know what I am doing? No, there will be a “caller” with the band as well as demonstrators. Not everyone will know how to ceilidh dance, but that’s most of the fun!
  • Do I need to dance? No, watching can be just as fun!
